A Brave New World In Science: Circa 2020



Do you want to learn more about human genetics and how it can be used to understand the underlying reasons behind such diseases as autism? Interested in speaking to a world-renowned scientist face-to-face?

The Molecular Genetics Students Union - MGYSU in collaboration with the U of T Biochemistry Undergraduate Student Society - BUSS is hosting a special seminar with renowned Canadian scientist and human geneticist, Dr. Stephen Scherer. This is the second in a series of seminars titled “The Pioneers”, where a distinguished member of the faculty presents their recent research to the undergraduate community! There will also be a Q&A focused on how to pursue an enjoyable career in basic sciences and succeed! Come out and hear Dr. Scherer discuss his ground-breaking research.
