The opportunity to be an executive is open to any students enrolled in an MGY Program or MGY course in the year they would hold the executive position. All of our offered positions are CCR approved too!

Below is an outline of the elections process:

Nominations

Nominations will be accepted between Friday, March 14th to Friday, March 28th at 11:59PM. 

**If you are not enrolled in an MGY course/program but will be enrolled in an MGY course during the 2025-2026 academic year, you must submit your timetable in July as proof of eligibility.

Campaigning

Candidate statements will be made available by Saturday, March 29th. The candidates will be able to campaign for four days from Saturday, March 29th to Tuesday, April 1st. Campaigning in classes and online platforms is permitted, but no distribution of any form of goods (e.g., monetary) is allowed. Candidates are encouraged to direct voters to the publicly available statements to ensure that they can make informed votes.

Voting

Voting will occur for three days from Wednesday, April 2nd to Friday, April 4th at 11:59PM. Voting is restricted to students currently enrolled in an MGY program or course. Nominees are NOT allowed to campaign during the voting period. This would entail campaigning in classes or online (e.g., Quercus, classroom chats, socials). 

**Stories or social posts may remain up during the voting period.

**Nominees who violate any of the following rules will be removed from the nomination pool or have their positions revoked if elected.**
